The Google Map API Code connects your Field Service module to Google Maps. Once configured, interactive maps become available in the following features: Work Orders, Service Appointments, Trips.
Step 1. Go to Field Service → Settings → Other Settings
Step 2. In the Google Map API Code field, paste your Google Maps API key
Step 3. Click Save
Note: To obtain a Google Maps API key, follow the link shown at the top of the settings page: "To get the Google Map API Key please visit the following link and follow the instructions". You will need a Google Cloud account to generate an API key.
When a customer submits a Service Request through the Customer Portal, the system automatically sends an email/web notification to the staff members configured in this field. This ensures the right people are alerted immediately when a new request comes in, without needing to manually check the Request list.
Step 1. Go to Field Service → Settings → Other Settings
Step 2. Click in the Notification Recipients for Requests dropdown
Step 3. Select one or more staff members who should receive notifications. You can add multiple recipients
Step 4. Click Save
The Show Public Page checkbox controls whether customers can access the public-facing Field Service page — a customer-facing view where they can see data and information related to their service requests, estimate, work order, appointments, service report, asset.
Step 1. Go to Field Service → Settings → Other Settings
Step 2. Check or uncheck Show Public Page according to your organization's preference
Step 3. Click Save
